BEN Mbala continued his impressive play for Cameroon in the Fiba AfroBasket after leading a 96-54 win over Guinea on Saturday in Tunisia.

The La Salle star led Cameroon in scoring again, but in a winning effort this time around, with a game-high 24 points on 8-of-13 shooting. The starting forward also grabbed a team-best six rebounds and swiped four steals as Cameroon stayed alive for a top-two spot in Group C to advance to the playoffs.

The 6-foot-7 Mbala also kept firing from beyond the arc, hoisting five attempts but making just one, a day after making 2-of-4 from deep in a loss to host Tunisia.

Cameroon started strong just like against Tunisia, but turned up the defense, holding Guinea to just 11 points in each of the middle quarters, to cruise to victory.
