BEN Mbala, Alfred Aroga, and Arnaud Noah have been included by the Cameroon basketball federation in its 30-man preliminary roster for the Fiba AfroBasket qualifiers and final round.
In an announcement by the Cameroonian basketball federation Fecabasket and reported by basketball website Sportando, the three college imports Mbala, Aroga, and Noah were listed in a pool that includes NBA players.
Although currently out with a knee contusion, Joel Embiid of the Philadelphia 76ers was named to the Cameroon pool along with Pascal Siakam of the Toronto Raptors and Luc Mbah a Moute of the Los Angeles Clippers.
Mbala powered La Salle to the title in UAAP Season 79 and was named was named MVP, while Aroga led the National University Bulldogs to the Season 77 title and last saw action this season.
Noah was named Finals MVP in San Beda's conquest of Arellano in the NCAA Season 92 championship series.
Cameroon is bracketed in Group E of the qualifiers along with Chad and Gabon, with the top two teams advancing into the AfroBasket main tournament scheduled August 19 to 30 in Brazzaville, Congo.
