THE Philippines suffered an 88-74 loss to Chinese Taipei on Friday at rhe start of the FIBA Asia U18 Championships in Tehran, Iran.
The Batang Gilas was limited to 11 points in the second quarter to enter the half trailing, 49-29, and fall in their first match in Group A.
Jonas Tibayan had 15 points to lead Batang Gilas in scoring.
The U18 squad is looking to bounce back against Iraq on Saturday.
