LONGTIME national player Asi Taulava is back to lend a helping hand in Monday’ Gilas Pilipinas practice at Meralco Gym.

The 46-year-old center joined NLEX and Gilas coach Yeng Guiao as well as Road Warriors teammates Kiefer Ravena and JP Erram as only eight national pool members were present for the session.

Taulava, who last played for Gilas in the 2018 Asian Games winning a silver medal, was joined by naturalized player Andray Blatche, as well as Raymond Almazan, Matthew Wright, Mark Barroca, Paul Lee and CJ Perez.

Several members of the national team failed to attend the training due to the ongoing PBA semifinals between San Miguel and Rain or Shine and Barangay Ginebra and TNT.

Absent were June Mar Fajardo, Christian Standhardinger, and the injured Marcio Lassiter of San Miguel, and Gabe Norwood and Beau Belga of Rain or Shine, who are set to clash in Game Two of the Rain or Shine-SMB series at Mall of Asia Arena.
