ANDRAY Blatche continued to miss Gilas Pilipinas’ buildup for the Fiba World Cup qualifiers a day after his supposed arrival.
But the naturalized player hinted that he will reunite with his Gilas brothers ‘real soon.’
On his Instagram account @draylive on Monday, Blatche posted a photo of the Gilas team he last suited up with in the 2017 Seaba tournament, showing his desire to join the team again in the face of a bigger challenge in World Cup qualifier against Japan in Tokyo on November 24.
“Be back with my brothers real soon to take care of business,” wrote Blatche on the caption with the hashtag #puso.
Blatche, though, was expected to arrive on Sunday. But he was nowhere to be seen when Gilas gathered for practice on Monday morning.
Team insiders expect him to arrive 'soon,' but as Reyes previously said, you can't be sure with Blatche until you see him in the flesh.
We hope he would be here on the 12th, but you’ll never know with Andray until he arrives,” Reyes said on Thursday. “That’s the only time you’ll know he’s here – pag dating niya.”
Present in practice on Monday are June Mar Fajardo, Mac Belo, Allein Maliksi, Troy Rosario, Kevin Alas, Calvin Abueva, Matthew Wright, Carl Cruz, Gabe Norwood, Roger Pogoy, Japeth Aguilar, and Raymond Almazan.
Aguilar also joined the drills and practices after sitting out last week due to a minor injury.
The team won't be practicing on Monday night and will head instead to Tagaytay for an activity.
