ANDRAY Blatche finally had his first Gilas Pilipinas practice in five months as he spearheaded the attendees in Monday's training session at Meralco Gym.
The naturalized big man was finally in the fold after arriving on Saturday as Team Pilipinas had its first training with the Syracuse-born slotman in preparation for the 2019 Fiba World Cup in August.
Gabe Norwood and Kiefer Ravena joined him in the fold together with Marcio Lassiter, Roger Pogoy, Mark Barroca, Matthew Wright, Raymond Almazan, and young guns CJ Perez and Robert Bolick.
June Mar Fajardo, Paul Lee, and Troy Rosario were in attendance but were in street clothes.
Beau Belga was also back extending a hand to the national team.
Japeth Aguilar and Poy Erram were absent in the session.
Head coach Yeng Guiao is expected to name his 15-man roster which will see action in the pocket tournament in Spain as well as the series of tuneup games with Adelaide 36ers.
