Perlas Pilipinas on a roll, claims third straight win in Fiba-Asia meet by trouncing Hong Kong

PERLAS Pilipinas booked a third straight win in the 2015 Fiba-Asia Women’s Championship Level 2 by trouncing Hong Kong, 75-62, on Tuesday in Wuhan, China.

Allana Lim had 20 points, while Camille Sambile added 19 and 10 rebounds for the Filipina cagebelles, who improved their record to 3-1.

Afril Bernardino also finished in double figures with 16 points for Perlas Pilipinas, which tied North Korea and Kazakhstan on top of the standings in Level 2.

The Pinay cagebelles pulled away in the second quarter by outscoring Hong Kong, 26-13.

They will face Kazakhstan next on Wednesday for a place in the playoff for Level 2.

The top two teams in Level 2 at the end of the round will play the bottom two teams in Level 1 for promotion.
