AJ EDU is officially in line to make his FIBA Asia Cup 2025 qualifiers debut on Thursday when Gilas Pilipinas faces Chinese Taipei.
Edu made it to the 12-man roster for Gilas Pilipinas along with Justin Brownlee, June Mar Fajardo, Scottie Thompson, Japeth Aguilar, Jamie Malonzo, Chris Newsome, Calvin Oftana, CJ Perez, Kevin Quiambao, Dwight Ramos, and Carl Tamayo.

Troy Rosario and Mason Amos serves as alternates for the February window and didn't make the final roster.
Edu is finally set to play for this iteration of Gilas after missing the first four games due to an injury.
His presence is needed with Kai Sotto out due to an ACL injury.

The 25-year-old Edu sustained a knee injury that caused him to miss Gilas Pilipinas most recent stint in the FIBA Asia Cup qualifiers last November when he got hurt while playing for his Japan B.League side Toyoma Grouses.
The 6-foot-10 Toledo standout looks healthy now, having played in all three games for Gilas in the recently-concluded Doha International Cup where the national team finished with 1-2 record.
Gilas will now be up against Chinese Taipei on Thursday in the continuation of the Asia Cup qualifiers where they will stake their 4-0 unbeaten slate on the road.
The Philippines is the overwhelming favorite with Chinese Taipei holding a 1-3 slate entering the match.
