AJ Edu made an assurance the Fiba 3x3 stint won't be his last for the Philippine national team. 

AJ Edu looks all set to join NCAA Division I school University of Toledo.

The Fil-Nigerian posted a photo of him with a Toledo jersey on his Twitter account as the former 3x3 national player prepares to play college ball in the United States.

"This is a decision that my family and I took our time and prayed over and I believe is the perfect place for me to further both my basketball career and my academics," wrote Edu.

Edu thanked the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP) for giving him the opportunity to play in the national team particularly in last year's Fiba 3x3 Under-18 World Cup.

    He is also part of the Gilas Pilipinas pool for the 2023 Fiba Basketball World Cup.

    “It definitely won’t be the last time I put on the Filipino jersey,” said Edu.

    The Toledo Rockets play in the Mid-American Conference. This season, the Rockets finished second in the MAC tournament, losing to Buffalo in the championship game.

    Despite a 23-11 record, the Rockets coached by Todd Kowalczyk were unable to secure a berth in the 2018 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament.
