The spitfire guard out of National University ignited the Filipinas' early 8-0 assault.
Clare Castro then bullied the opposition down low to erect a 15-4 advantage before letting Bernardino finish off the game with three straight points.
Bernardino led Gilas Women's with nine points, as Castro scored six.
Jack Animam and Janine Pontejos both had three points as the Philippines boosted its chances of advancing to the quarterfinals after bowing to Japan, 20-8, in Pool C earlier in the day.
Gilas Women's now await its fate with Japan and Sri Lanka set to face off at 8:45 p.m.
Prasadi Fonseka paced Sri Lanka with three points in the defeat.
