FAR Eastern University snapped a three-game losing skid in a big way, beating erstwhile unbeaten Perpetual Help, 62-57, on Friday in the Filoil Flying V Preseason Premier Cup.
The Tamaraws ended their losing slide and improved to 2-3 (win-loss) before head coach Nash Racela left for Bangkok to lead the Gilas cadets' campaign in the Seaba Cup.
The defeat was the Altas’ first after going 4-0 to start the preseason tournament.
Brandrey Bienes scored 10 points in a balanced scoring attack for the Tamaraws. Steve Holmqvist and Wendell Comboy added eight points each while Prince Orizu had seven points, eight rebounds, and three blocks.
Jeffrey Coronel finished with 13 points for the Altas, who only got six points from Bright Akhuetie.
