FAR Eastern University guard Terrence Romeo was awarded the Jollibee Champ of the Season title for his fine performance in Season 76 of the UAAP senior men’s basketball tournament.
The 5-foot-11 Romeo averaged 21.7 points and grabbing 5.9 rebounds, dishing 3.9 assists and 1.6 blocks per game. Jollibee is one with the UAAP in honoring young athletes who display exemplary performance and sportsmanship.
Romeo earned Most Valuable Player of the Year honors for Season 76 after a fine elimination round that saw the Tamaraws sweep the first round. The Tamaraws, however, fell in the Final Four to eventual champion De la Salle.
The shooting guard decided to forego his final playing year in college and has recently signed with Globalport in the PBA.
Romeo received a plaque and a check from Jollibee marketing manager Cathleen de los Santos, vice president for marketing Harvey Ong, and assistant brand manager Mathew Whang.
