FAR Eastern University beat University of the Philippines, 67-62, to win the Passi Invitational Inter-Collegiate Basketball Tournament in Passi, Iloilo.
The Tamaraws of head coach Olsen Racela and assistant coach Ryan Betia ruled the competition as part of the buildup for the upcoming UAAP Season 81 basketball wars.
FEU edged out a UP team that played with Ricci Rivero, who will still be eligible in the UAAP in 2019.
FEU went 3-0 in the eliminations to clinch a finals spot before beating State U.
