NILA National University-MFT and Pampanga Foton clinched semifinal berths after beating separate rivals on Tuesday in the Filsports Basketball Association Second Conference at the Trinity University of Asia Gym.
The Bulldogs beat Pateros Austen Morris Associates, 58-47, while Toplander defeated Marikina Wangs, 75-66, to gain a share of first place with 6-2 records.
Meanwhile, Malolos Mighty Bulsu beat Quezon City-University of the Philippines, 75-74, to keep its semifinal hopes alive.
Mark Pangilinan scored 19 points and Dominic Fajardo had 18 for the Mighty Bulsu, who improved their record to 3-5 and join UP, Pateros Austin Morris Associates and Marikina Wangs in third spot in the league supported by Korgivit E and Titan, and televised on Aksyon TV, Akyson TV International, Net 25, and FOX.
