AT least 11 players seeing action in the FIBA World Cup in China have been lined-up for the East Asia Super League Terrific 12 slater in Macau two weeks from now.
Guo Ailun, the starting shooting guard of China, is part of the Liaoning Flying Leopards set to compete in Sept. 17-22 meet at the Tap Seac Multi-Sports Pavilion.
The 25-year-old Guo, the first Chinese-born player to be signed by Jordan Brand Shoes, will join national teammate Zhao Jiwei with the Flying Leopards, while another member of the Chinese men’s team Sun Minghui will be with Zhejiang Guangsha Lions.
Gilas Pilipinas is not about to be left out as five-time MVP June Mar Fajardo anchors San Miguel Beer’s campaign in the team’s foray in the annual tournament. The same goes for the duo Roger Pogoy and Troy Rosario, who are expected to be among the key players for TnT Katropa.

The South Korean national team is also well represented with three players in Choi Jun-yong and Kim Sun-hyung for the two-time Korean Basketball League (KBL) champion Seoul SK Knights, along with Lee Jung-hyun of Jeonju KCC Egis.
Japan meanwhile, has a pair of player from its national team in Kosuke Takeuchi and Makoto Hiejima for Utsunomiya Brex.
The 12 teams will be divided into four groups, which will play a single round robin.
The top ballclub in each group advance to the Final Four and a chance to get a shot at the $150,000 champion purse.
Japan’s Ryukyu Golden Kings is the reigning defending champion led by last year’s Finals MVP Ryuichi Kishimoto.
