ELOY Poligrates scored 23 points as Euro-Med stunned league-leading Mighty Sports, 87-73, in the PCBL Chairman’s Cup on Wednesday at the Marikina Sports Center.
It was the sixth win in 11 games for Euro-Med, in fourth spot behind Mighty Sports (9-2), Jumbo Plastic (7-4), and Biyaheng SCTEX (6-4).
Already assured of the No.1 spot in the semifinal round, Mighty Sports played without Kiefer Ravena, who is set to leave for the US to train.
Ola Adeogun had a double-double performance of 21 points and 14 rebounds for Euro Med, while Jeff Tajenora came off the bench and contributed 10 markers, including three triples.
Poligrates led a 13-0 run to give Euro Med a 47-45 lead at the half.
Jumbo Plastic clobbered Supremo Lex, 75-46, in the other game.
