ENCHO Serrano led the North team to a 94-89 win over the South squad on Thursday in the NBTC National High School Championship Division 1 All-Star Game at the Mall of Asia Arena.
The Adamson Baby Falcons star finished with 17 points and seven rebounds in leading the charge for the North All-Stars coached by PBA champion coach Jong Uichico.
Juan Gomez de Liano of University of the Philippines Integrated School had 16 points and six rebounds, while spearheading a 9-0 run with back-to-back baskets to break a 78-78 tie in the fourth period.
Troy Mallillin of La Salle Greenhills also had 16 markers while John Lloyd Clemente of National University added 10 points for the North All-Stars, who came in to the game as the favorite with the collection of big name players from the Metro Manila high school leagues.
Sherwin Concepcion had 19 points, while SJ Belangel added 18 points as the South All-Stars put on a gallant fight by keeping the game close until that pivotal run in the fourth.
