EGAY Billones drilled a dagger triple late as Team Baliwag defeated Mighty Sports, 96-88, on Sunday night in the 2017 Republica Cup commercial division basketball tournament at the Baliwag Star Arena in Bulacan.
Billones finished with 11 points and converted a triple with 30 seconds left in the match to put the game away for Baliwag, which picked up its third win in four outings for second place in front of their home fans in the tournament commemorating the Malolos Republic.
Sunday Salvacion scored 22 points for Mighty Sports, which slid to 3-2 for third place in the team standings.
