    EAC Generals survive error-strewn match to edge HTC Wildcats

    EMILIO Aguinaldo College took solo second in Group C with a 79-69 win over Holy Trinity College on Wednesday in the Filoil Flying V Hanes Premier Cup at The Arena in San Juan.

    Jack Arquero had 16 points, Cedric Happi grabbed 11 rebounds, and Remy Morada dished out 11 assists as the Generals won their second win in three games.

    The Generals outscored the Wildcats, 22-15, in the fourth quarter, although they gave up more turnovers 24 that led to 21 points by the Wildcats.

    Meylan Landicho had 20 points while Delmar Mahaling hauled 10 rebounds for the Wildcats, who are still winless in four outings.

    The scores:

    EAC (79) – Arquero 16, Aguilar 13, Jamon 11, Onwubere 10, Morada 8, Saludo 8, Happi 4, Santos 4, Serrano 4, Pascual 1, Indin 0.

    HTC (69) – Landicho 20, Masaglang 17, Batiller 11, Mahaling 8, Roxas 5, Pragados 4, Lape 2, Pepito 2, Yusop 0, Polictico 0, Etoundi 0, Desaville 0.

    Quarterscores: 19-11; 35-31; 57-54; 79-69.
