DWIGHT Ramos sizzled from beyond the arc to help Levanga Hokkaido take down Akita Northern Happinets in a 70-66 escape on Wednesday at CAN Arena Akita.
The Gilas Pilipinas guard drained five treys for his 21 points, on top of three rebounds, three assists, two steals, and two blocks, as his all-around performance spurred the road team to their second win in three games.
Ramos’ superb showing keyed Hokkaido in the win that allowed it to move up to 12-21.
Ray Parks also steered Osaka Evessa to a 97-95 nipping of Ryukyu Golden Kings at Okinawa Arena.
He put up 18 points, four boards, two assists, and two steals to push Osaka forward to 17-16.
Phenom outduels Mr. Wright
Kiefer Ravena’s Yokohama B-Corsairs then got the better of Matthew Wright’s Kawasaki Brave Thunders, 74-63, at Yokohama International Pool.
Ravena only had four points, two rebounds, and one assist in 28 minutes of play, but that was enough to propel his side to a 13-20 card.
Wright, meanwhile, was limited to just five points, five assists, and three rebounds in 32 minutes, as Kawasaki slid to 10-23.
AJ Edu’s Nagasaki Velca also ended a five-game slide with a 101-89 victory over cellar-dweller Shiga Lakes at Shiga Daihatsu Arena.
He only collected five points, two blocks, a board, and an assist, but his teammates did the heavy lifting to enable the Velca to rise to 14-19.
