AFTER making their mark in the Universities and Colleges Basketball League (UCBL), Dominick Fajardo and Paul de la Cruz of Bulacan State University look to prove their worth in the PBA D-League.
The 6-foot-2 Fajardo made it back to the UCBL Mythical Five after winning last year’s MVP title, and he was joined in the selection by De la Cruz. Jorey Napoles of TIP was named MVP this season.
Sa school namin, dalawa ang Mythical, mas okay sa akin,” said the 24-year-old Fajardo.
Now the two are set to strut their wares in PBA D-League after being drafted by Zark’s Lyceum in the 15th and 16th rounds.
In Season 2 of the UCBL, Fajardo averaged 19.21 points, 9.57 rebounds, 4.36 assists, and 3.36 steals.
The 6-foot-2 Fajardo earned a spot with the Gold Gears through a tryout, and says he forever will be grateful to the university.
“Masaya at exciting,” said Fajardo in describing his stint with BulSU.
