DE La Salle Zobel routed Miriam College-A 51-21 to grab a share of the early lead in the 13-and-under class of the 27th Women's Basketball League over the weekend at the Xavier School gym.
DLSZ and Miriam College-B share the top spot at 1-0, while Miriam-A slipped to 1-1 for joint second with PWU-JASMS and Saint Pedro Poveda College.
PWU-JASMS downed Assumption Antipolo, 18-14, while Saint Pedro Poveda College defeated St. Paul College, 42-33.
In the 17-under developmental division, Assumption Antipolo whipped PWU-JASMS, 47-17, and PWU edged School of the Holy Spirit of QC, 27-25.
Casimiro Ynarez Memorial National High School blasted St. Clare Science HS, 46-14, for its third straight win and the lead in Group D.
Assumption College defeated Miriam, 25-7, for its first win in two games behind CYMNHS.
Montessori Integrated School edged St. Bridget School, 48-46, for second place at 1-1 behind idle leader University of Perpetual Help in Group A of the 17-Under Competitive Division.
