    Mbala, La Salle bounce back with a vengeance from stunning loss, routs Perpetual

    DE La Salle bounced back with a vengeance on Sunday, beating Perpetual Help, 94-71, in the Filoil Flying V Preseason Premier Cup.

    Ben Mbala scored 30 points and grabbed nine rebounds as the Green Archers atoned for an opening-day defeat at the hands of Jose Rizal University.

    The loss to JRU was the first for La Salle since Mbala started playing in the Filoil tournament for the Green Archers.

    The Green Archers’ defense made the biggest difference as they forced 43 turnovers against an Altas side that was making its debut in the preseason tournament.

    Leonard Santillan added 10 points, six rebounds, and two steals, while Ramil Tero had nine points and three steals for the Green Archers.

    Gab Dagangon had 17 points, while Jack Hao added 11 points for the Altas.
