WITH Ange Kouame already playing for the PBA's Meralco Bolts, will his fellow UAAP MVP Malick Diouf follow suit?

“I’m always ready, since I’ve been here for several years. I’m always ready for a call. I’m just waiting for my time,” said Diouf.
“No (offers) yet, but hopefully.”
The 6-foot-11 big once led the University of the Philippines' historic championship in Season 84 where he was named Finals MVP. The following season, he was then hailed as Season MVP before going on to play for another title-winning team in the Zamboanga Valientes last year in The Asian Tournament.
Afterwards, he suited up for Pacific Caesar Surabaya in the Indonesian Basketball League until being called back for another go-round with the Valientes in the 34th Dubai International Basketball Championship.
What follows, whether that be PBA or MPBL, remains up in the air.

Diouf, however, also isn’t closing his doors on another overseas league stint, as his oncoming Dubai debut will give him international exposure along with some of Asia’s finest hoopers.
“It’s a good opportunity, playing in Dubai. It’s an international league, everybody wants to play there,” Diouf said.
“There’s a lot of scouts. If I do my best, hopefully I get a chance to play outside (the country).”

Such a unique opportunity is one he’s keen on sharing with his longtime UAAP rival and Strong Group Athletics’ Kouame, albeit on opposing Philippine teams and brackets in pool play.
“Hopefully (we get to play each other), since we are not in the same bracket. If both teams do good, we can meet in the finals and it’s going to be a good one,” the Senegalese center said.
“Playing with Ange, he was doing good in the UAAP. When we face again, it’s going to be the same.”
