    Oct 6, 2019

DEFENDING champion Diliman College and University of Batangas dispute the first-round pennant while Centro Escolar University hopes to extend its win run in the PG Flex Linoleum-Universities and Colleges Basketball League (UCBL) at the Olivarez College gym in Parañaque City.

Bidding to become the first back-to-back champions of the league, the Diliman Blue Dragons stake their perfect 6-0 record at 4 p.m. against a team aching to rebound from a stinging 84-78 defeat to the Olivarez College Sea Lions on Sept. 26.

CEU, meantime, kicks off another triple bill when it faces Lyceum of the Philippines University-Batangas at 12 noon while National College of Business and Arts hopes to nail its first win when it collides with Philippine Christian University-Dasmariñas at 2 p.m.

UB’s defeat ended a dream start that saw the Brahmans win their first five games to install themselves as a strong Final Four contender in the eight-team tournament now on its fourth season.
