DE La Salle and Ateneo clash for the first time in the preseason in the Milcu Sports Basketball Summer Showcase presented by Got Skills and Gamboa Sports on May 8 at the Filoil Flying V Centre.
The Green Archers face the Blue Eagles at 4 p.m. in the preseason tournament for the first time since their UAAP finals affair in which Ben Mbala and Jeron Teng led La Salle to the crown.
This time, the Green Archers will parade a new-look team for the preseason affair with Teng having finished his college eligibility last year against the Thirdy Ravena-led Blue Eagles.
Meanwhile, La Salle and Ateneo will also square off in the 19-under juniors division with the NCAA squad Greenies taking on the UAAP side Blue Eaglets at 2 p.m.
Highlighting the affair is the battle between two of the tallest high school players in the premier leagues in Kai Sotto of Ateneo and Ladis Lepalam of La Salle Greenhills.
