DAVE Moralde is used to playing before supportive crowds during his time with the University of the Philippines Maroons in the UAAP.
Yet Moralde admitted his stint with Muntinlupa in the MPBL is unlike no other in terms of fan support.
“Grabe ‘yung support, parang doble pa nung college career ko,” said the 26-year-old guard, who is one of the most popular players of Muntinlupa among home fans.
Moralde, who was left unsigned by TNT after being picked in the PBA rookie draft last year, was instrumental in Muntinlupa extending its semifinal series with Paranaque. The former UP Maroon finished with 16 points in the Cagers' 84-59 win.
Game Three is on Tuesday night at the Muntinlupa Sports Center with the winner facing the Batangas City Athletics in the Anta-Rajah Cup finals.
Moralde is thankful to be surrounded at Muntinlupa by veteran players who can help him out, including former PBA players Chito Jaime and Allan Mangahas.
As a player, tine-take advantage ko ‘yun,” Moralde said.
