DAVAO Occidental looks to seal its first MPBL crown as San Juan tries to extend the Chooks-to-Go Lakan Season finals at the Subic Bay Convention Center.

The Tigers hold a 2-1 lead with Game Four of the best-of-five series set at 4 p.m. on Sunday.

Just a day after Game Three won by the Tigers, 66-58, the series returns to action.

Davao Occidental goes for its first crown, looking to avenge its loss to San Juan in the 2019 Datu Cup finals.

“Our defense came through. We gave only 58 points and if we can play defense like this, we have a big chance,” said Davao Occidental head coach Don Dulay.

Heroes were aplenty in Game Three for Davao with Billy Ray Robles churning 13 points, eight rebounds, two assists, and four blocks. Kenneth Mocon and Bonbon Custodio also had 11 and 10 apiece for the Tigers in the match-up.

San Juan, meanwhile, looks extend he serties. Game Five if necessary will be held on Monday.

Mike Ayonayon played a huge game for the Knights on Saturday, scoring 16 points despite tightness in his left hamstring.

John Wilson also had a solid outing but San Juan will need contributions from other players in order to force a decider.
