DANNY Ildefonso is one proud father as his son Dave takes his act to Korea with Suwon KT SonicBoom.

And he's just grateful for the club for giving that opportunity to the former Ateneo guard.
"I would like to express my gratitude to the KT club for creating such a special opportunity," he said in an interview with Jumpball.
The elder Ildefonso shared that playing in the Korean Basketball League (KBL) has really been an intriguing prospect for Dave for years.
That interest was all the more boosted when Mike Harris played in the 2018 PBA Governors' Cup for Alaska, a team where Danny served as an assistant coach, at a time when the league opened its doors to Asian imports.
Now, that dream is a reality and the two-time PBA MVP is hopeful that his son can have a fruitful professional career in the Land of the Morning Calm.
"I hope that the start of his professional career goes well and that he enjoy these new challenges," he said. "I hope that he can show his strengths to the team as soon as possible, and I believe that he will do well."
Dave is expected to make his Suwon KT debut after the All-Star Weekend, with the earliest being its game against the Seoul Samsung Thunders next Thursday.
Curiously, the younger Ildefonso will also team up with another familiar face for Filipinos with Lester Prosper also part of the SonicBoom.
