DAN Wong registered 12 points to lead Ateneo to a 65-49 win over Lyceum-A in the 25-under division of the Milcu Got Skills Malolos Republic Summer Showcase at the Enderun Colleges Gym.
Dan, younger brother of Blue Eagle Adrian Wong, helped carry Ateneo to its first win in the summer tournament after bowing to La Salle two weeks ago.
John Vidal had 14 points and seven rebounds as Enderun Colleges beat University of Santo Tomas, 60-53, in the 25-under division.
In the 16-under class, reigning UAAP champion National University posted its second win in as many outings, beating Pampanga High School, 67-38. Rhayyan Amsali had 17 points and nine rebounds for the Bullpups.
De La Salle-Zobel improved to 1-1 with a 46-41 win over Adamson-C. Migo Datu had 14 points for the Junior Archers in the tournament sponsored by Milcu, sanctioned by the Samahang Basketbol ng PIlipinas, and supported by Basketball TV, Gatorade, Clyde Shoe Cleaner, Kawasaki, LGR, SLAM, Rain or Shine, Honda, Coach Athletic Trainers Tape, Secret Fresh, Mighty Sports, and Nousha Kebabs and Barbeque
