WANGS Basketball defeated Derulo Accelero, 81-71, on Thursday to recover from a blowout loss in the PBA D-League Aspirants Cup at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.
The Couriers used a 21-11 run in the third period to take control after leading by just one point.
Michael Juico had 25 points, five assists, and three steals for the Couriers, who improved their record to 3-4 following a 59-75 defeat against Jumbo Plastic Linoleum.
John Lopez added 14 points including three straight that started off that game-changing run, extending a 42-41 lead to 48-41.
Jonathan Banal added 11 points, while Macky Acosta chipped in 10 points for the Couriers.
Derulo Accelero fell to 1-7.
