FAMILY Mart-Enderun used a huge fourth quarter eruption to score a 116-94 victory over AMA Online Education in the 2019 PBA D-League on Thursday at Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.
Valandre Chauca buried eight triples and finished with 24 points, 15 coming in the first half, on top of seven rebounds and seven assists as the Titans scored their first win after six losses.
Richard Escoto had 17 points and 10 rebounds, while John Vidal scored 10 of his 17 points in the killer payoff period where Family Mart-Enderun poured 35 points to run away from a tight 81-78 affair.
Mark Gatdula scored 14, Francis Sacundo added 13 and Marvin Hayes had 12 points for Family Mart.
"We never doubted that we're gonna get at least one win," said coach Pipo Noundou. "All the losses we had were just by single digits. It means we're close but with the lack of experience, we just had to adjust."
"We knew we have to work harder to win in this league and we took the challenge."
Family Mart-Enderun is already out of the playoff race.
Joshua Munzon led AMA with 30 points, 13 rebounds, seven assists and seven steals, while Franky Johnson had 24 points.
It was the Titans' third straight loss to fall to 2-6.
