    UST Tigers score 44 in fourth to beat AMA, spoil Joshua Munzon’s 46-point night

    UNIVERSITY of Santo Tomas staged a fourth quarter for the ages, taking the thrilling 113-108 come-from-behind victory over AMA Online Education to stay unbeaten in the 2019 PBA D-League on Monday at Paco Arena in Manila.

    Mark Nonoy was the jolt of energy the Growling Tigers needed, pouring all of his 14 points in a 44-point fourth quarter fightback as they crawled from an 11-point deficit, 78-67, late in the third quarter.

    Soulemane Chabi Yo unleashed 25 points, 18 rebounds and five blocks, while Sherwin Concepcion added his own double-double of 20 points and 13 boards.

    Rhanz Abando and Renzo Subido had 19 points apiece as UST stole the win and stayed unbeaten in the Aspirants Group at 2-0.

    "Our composure was tested. For sure natuto kami rito. Halos ratratan eh, so every time we experience that, mate-test yung decision making ng mga players," said coach Aldin Ayo.

    UST survived the torrid shooting of Joshua Munzon, who had 46 points, the second-most points in PBA D-League history. He also had 11 rebounds, six steals, and four assists.

    Franky Johnson added 21 points and seven rebounds, while Troy Rike had 13 and nine in the AMA loss.
