UNIVERSITY of the Philippines QRS/Jam Liner leaned on a second-half surge to overwhelm AMA University, 100-84, and clinch the last twice-to-beat edge in the quarterfinals of the PBA D-League Aspirants Cup on Thursday at the Ynares Center in Pasig.
The Maroons turned the game around after a slow start and broke away on the way to finishing the elimination round with their second straight win and fifth overall against three losses.
