UNIVERSITY of the Philippines-QRS/JAM Liner defeated Tanduay, 102-86, on Tuesday in the PBA D-League Aspirants Cup at the Ynares Sports Arena.
Kevin Ferrer scored 19 points, Paul Desiderio chipped in 16 markers and Michole Sorela had 12 points and seven rebounds for the Maroons, who notched their second win in as many matches.
UP-QRS/JAM Liner dedicated the victory to team consultant Joe Ward, who collapsed on Monday night and was rushed to Capitol Medical Center where he was taken for further evaluation.
“Hindi pa 100 percent ’yung pinakita ng game. Nasa 80 percent pa lang kasi nagbe-blend na ’yung mga bago sa team,” said UP QRS/Jam Liner coach Bert de la Rosa.
Ryan Wetherell scored 19 points and pulled down six rebounds for the Rhum Masters, who remained winless after two games.
