TROY Rosario scored 12 of his game-high 18 points in the second half as Hapee beat AMA University, 69-65, on Thursday in the PBA D-League Foundation Cup at the Ynares Sports Arena.
The Fresh Fighters fought back after trailing 27-35 at the half to capture their second win in three outings.
Hapee couldn’t put AMA away easily, with James Martinez tying the count at 58 midway in the fourth.
But after a Scottie Thompson two free throws, Rosario nailed a triple for a five-point lead nearing the two-minute mark of the game.
The Fresh Fighters join Jumbo Plastic Linoleum and Café France in second place behind undefeated Cebuana Lhuillier (3-0).
Chris Newsome had 12 points, while Thompson added 11 for the Fresh Fighters.
AMA now holds a 2-2 win-loss record.
