TONTON Peralta inflicted the damage early before Edgar Charcos put on the finishing touches in Perpetual's 86-75 victory over CD14 Designs-Trinity in the 2019 PBA D-League on Monday at JCSGO Gym in Cubao.
Peralta sizzled with 33 points, five rebounds and four assists, helping the Altas gain control early and post 22-point leads in the third quarter.
But Charcos was the one to put the win under wraps, scoring seven of Perpetual's last eight points to foil the fightback from CD14 Designs-Trinity. He finished with 15 points, eight rebounds, and four assists.
Jefner Egan and Jielo Razon scored 12 apiece as the Altas stopping their three-game losing run.
"Medyo depleted ang lineup but I'm still proud of the guys," said coach Frankie Lim, who missed the services of starting center Ben Adamos. "They're given the playing time and na-maximize naman nila. Good for them, good learning experience for the team."
John Tayongtong and Bobby Balucanag almost willed the White Stallions back in the game, cutting the deficit down to just seven, 78-71 in the final 2:06, before Charcos led the Altas rally.
