THIRDY Ravena, RK Ilagan and Allyn Bulanadi have emerged as the frontrunners for the Conference MVP award in the 2019 PBA D-League.
Ravena, a Gilas Pilipinas pool member, was one of the key driving forces for Cignal-Ateneo as it reached the finals in its maiden stint in the developmental league.
The two-time UAAP Finals MVP averaged 14.2 points, on a 41-percent shooting from field, on top of 5.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists, and 1.2 steals in the nine games he suited up this season.
Ilagan and Bulanadi, meanwhile, were Valencia City Bukidnon-SSCR's 1-2 punch as the Golden Harvest made it to the semifinals before bowing to the Blue Eagles.
The sweet-shooting Ilagan led the league in three-points made as he shot 39-percent from downtown to norm 20.4 points, 6.8 rebounds, 5.1 assists and 2.2 steals.
On the other hand, the do-it-all Bulanadi averaged 20.0 points on 40-percent shooting from the field, alongside 6.5 boards, 2.8 assists, 2.3 steals, and 1.1 blocks.
Also being considered are Isaac Go of Cignal-Ateneo and Rich Guinitaran of Centro Escolar University.
Go has suited up in every game for the Blue Eagles this conference, netting 9.9 points on a 45-percent from field, to go with 4.9 rebounds and 1.3 assists.
Guinitaran also showed his veteran smarts on his way to collecting 13.7 points, 3.8 boards, 1.4 dimes, and 1.3 steals per outing.
The St. Clare College Virtual Reality duo of Joshua Fontanilla, who averaged 13.3 points, 3.5 rebounds, 4.1 assists, and 2.9 steals, and Junjie Hallare, who got himself 13.2 points, 7.1 boards, 1.0 dimes, and 2.2 steals, have also built their case for the hardware.
The Conference MVP will be named on Thursday before Game Three of the 2019 PBA D-League Finals between Cignal-Ateneo and Centro Escolar University at Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.
