BATANGAS picked up its first win in the PBA D-League Aspirants' Cup at the expense of Victoria Sports, 88-85, at the Ynares Sports Arena on Tuesday.

Cedric Ablaza and Dan Sara had 15 points apiece for the Batangueños, who arrested a two-game skid to improve to 1-2.
"I'm happy. More than anything, we're seeing the Batanguenos grow. Marami pa kami kailangan improve but I'm happy na di sila nagba-back down sa challenge," said Batangas coach Eric Gonzales.
In the final minute, Victoria Sports botched three consecutive shots that led to an Ablaza undergoal stab, 88-85.
Victoria Sports had a chance to send the game into overtime but Zach Nichols missed a potential game-tying triple as time expired.
