THE playing son of former three-time PBA MVP William 'Bogs' Adornado is the latest addition to the growing list of rookie hopefuls who made themselves available in next week’s PBA D-League Draft.
Josemarie Adornado will be joining the league’s maiden draft procedure set on September 19 as he sets his sights on making the transition from college to commercial basketball.
A 6-foot-1 guard, Adornado is a member of the Ateneo Blue Eagles Team B.
Apart from Adornado, also applying for the draft are Fil-Australian Mark Franco, Robert Angelo Packing of Far Eastern University (Team B), Alejandro Adovas (STI), Michael Camposagrado (Divine World College of Abra), and Krist Edward Pao (University of Cebu).
They join the 10 others who had already applied for the event led by celebrated Fil-Italian guard Chris Banchero.
Café France is set to pick first among the league’s founding members followed by Cebuana Lhuillier, Boracay Rum, Big Chill, Blackwater Sports, and NLEX.
Cagayan Valley takes it crack at the No. 7 pick, before Hog’s Breath and Jumbo Plastic select at Nos. 8 and 9, respectively.
The order of selection for the new teams this season will be determined by lottery.
All incoming players are now required to apply for the draft to become eligible to play in the 2014 D-League season set to kick off on October 24 at the Ynares Sports Arena.
