JOSHUA Saret helped lift Zambales M-Builders over Wangs Basketball, 76-74, in the PBA D-League at Ynares Sports Arena on Thursday.
Saret, who once scored 89 points in the NCAA juniors, poured in 15 points, including three triples for Zambales.
Bryan Cruz added 12 points, John Albanza and Mike Tolomia each had 11 and Roger Pogoy chipped in with 10.
"Nagkakumpyansa na kami kaya lang slow start pero buti na lang nakabawi naman," said Zambales coach Junel Mendiola.
With only two seconds left, Jonathan Banal drained a booming triple to bring Wangs Basketbal within two points, 74-76.
Wangs Basketball still had a chance to turn things around but a miscue on the inbound play handed Zambales its second win in three games.
Zambales lead by nine points, 59-50, but almost collapsed in the endgame.
"Hindi pa ako happy sa depensa namin, naka-shoot pa nga (si Banal) doon kanina," said Mendiola.
Out of the 12 players used in the game, only the first five scored for Wangs Basketball. Michael Juico finished with19 points, while Karlo Gomez had 18, Banal added 16, Macky Acosta contributed 11 and Bryan Ilad made 10.
