ROD Ebondo sank the game-winner with 1.1 seconds left as Centro Escolar University scraped past Jose Rizal University, 77-75, in the PBA D-League Aspirants' Cup on Monday at the Pasig City Sports Center.
Before that, the 6-foot-6 Ebondo blocked Jeckster Apinan which prevented the Heavy Bombers from breaking tie at 75.
The Scorpions scored their fifth win in six games.
The Congolese import had 33 points, 15 rebounds, three assists, two steals and two blocks for the league leaders.

Joseph Manlangit had 15 points, while Art Aquino added eight markers for CEU.
The Heavy Bombers dropped their sixth straight match for a 1-6 win-loss record.
Kris Porter paced JRU with 21 points, while Paolo Pontejos chipped in 14 markers, five rebounds and three assists.
