HIS monster double-double was just not enough, and CEU slotman Rod Ebondo vows to do even better in the do-or-die game against Flying V in their PBA D-League Foundation Cup semifinal showdown.
Gab Banal forced Ebondo to commit an offensive foul that spelled doom for the Scorpions. The play led to a pair of free throws by Jerick Canada that put the game away for good.
The Congolese import is not dwelling on it, though, and instead is focusing on doing better after his 20-point, 27-rebound performance was wasted.

"This is basketball. We can't say anything about it. It just happened," said Ebondo, whose
"We just have to deal with it and focus on the next game. It's do or die game for us, so we just have to come back stronger."
The Congolese reinforcement vowed to come out better in Game Two at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, as the Scorpions look to forge a decider in the best-of-three series.
"Our mindset is going to be more mature especially in the endgame. Our team has many young players. Sometimes they panic in the crucial moments of the game," he said.
"Next game we will just try to be more confident so maybe we can force force a Game 3 and go to the finals."
"In basketball there is nothing impossible. We hope that we give our best and play hard to force a Game 3," he said.
