THE PBA D-League is set to get a boost.

The developmental league's membership is set to expand as the company that manufactures the popular dietary supplement Robust is set to see action starting next conference.

ATC Healthcare is set to make its debut in the league’s Foundation Cup as it takes the place of Wang’s basketball, putting up a team that will have a school tie-up with San Sebastian and coached by former PBA player Rodney Santos.

Santos, however, made it clear the team will not carry the brand name Robust, a dietary supplement for persons with erectile dysfunction. Instead, the company will carry the name of one of its herbal supplement for liver, called Livermarin.

“’Yung mga products nila is Robust, may squalene, and vitamin C. Pero ang dadalhin namin is ‘yung Livermarin,” said Santos, a former San Sebastian Stag who served as assistant coach to Topex Robinson last season in the NCAA.

Santos said the team is already preparing for ATC Livermarin’s campaign next conference by tapping six Stags from last year’s lineup in Jamil Ortouste, Mike Costello, Bradwyn Guinto, Mike Calisaan, Rhanzelle Yong, and Eric Fabian.

But Santos said ATC Healthcare is still open for new players, inviting aspirants to the team tryouts every Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at the San Sebastian gym.

“We still need mga five players dahil medyo kulang kami sa big man,” said Santos.
