RK ILAGAN continued to show the way for Valencia City Bukidnon-SSCR, torching SMDC-NU in an 82-73 win in the 2019 PBA D-League Monday at Paco Arena in Manila.
The Stags sniper fired 30 points as he went 6-of-11 from distance, three coming in the payoff period as the Golden Harvest put down the Bulldogs.
"Wala ka nang mahihingi pa. Pagod na pagod na siya pero nandoon pa rin yung effort niya," said coach Egay Macaraya of Ilagan, who also dished out four assists, grabbed three rebounds and snatched three steals.
Ilagan beat the third quarter buzzer with a triple off the glass and rode that momentum as he went on and exploded for 14 in the payoff period, with his last a banking runner that made it 82-69 with 59.1 ticks left.
Allyn Bulanadi chipped in 14 points, nine rebounds and five steals as Valencia-SSCR went 15-of-38 from downtown.
The Golden Harvest stayed on top of the Foundation Group at 3-0, while keeping the Bulldogs at the cellar with their 0-3 record.
Dave Ildefonso had 21 points for SMDC-NU, scattering 21 points, six assists and four rebounds.
