HOG’S Breath Café snapped a three-game losing skid with an 87-80 win over National University-Banco De Oro on Thursday in the PBA D-League Aspirants Cup at The Arena in San Juan.
The Razorbacks finally won another game and improve their record to 8-3 overall, tying Jumbo Plastic Linoluem for third place in the team standings.
Jumbo Plastic bowed to second-place NLEX, 70-89, in the first game.
“We are just happy to stop the losing streak,” said Hog’s Breath coach Caloy Garcia. “We really lacked rebounding so I emphasized it today as well as moving the ball and being composed because kapag nauunahan kami, nawawala na kami.”
Philip Paniamogan had 15 points for Hog’s Breath, which also got 12 from Billy Ray Robles and 11 from Ford Ruaya.
The Razorbacks won despite missing Kevin Racal (fever) and Francis Allera (plantar fasciitis) due to injuries.
