CIGNAL head coach Boyet Fernandez praised Raymar Jose for his efforts as he led the Hawkeyes to a second straight win after an opening-day loss in the PBA S-League Foundation Cup.

Coming off a two-month layoff, Jose did fine but wasn’t in top form in the opener and the Hawkeyes wound up bowing to Flying V.

But as Jose improved, so did the Hawkeyes and got a win run going with a rout of newcomer Zark’s Burger.

“Alam naman natin, Raymar Jose yan. Wala akong masabi. Ang sipag,” said Fernandez.

“He always makes it a point that he knows the system," Fernandez said.

Jose has a double-double average of 14.7 points and 12.7 rebounds through three games.

"Di ko alam masasabi ko, basta sa akin, tinatrabaho ko lang pag nasa loob ako, sinisipagan ko lang kung ano ang magagawa ko," said Jose.

"Para sa amin, Cignal nasa top lagi kaya dapat nandoon pa rin kami. Goal namin is to win a championship. di kami pwedeng magrelax at tuloy-tuloy lang kung ano yung pinuhunan namin," he added.
