RACAL Motors stunned Jumbo Plastic Linoleum, 77-66, on Monday at the JCSGO gym in Quezon City to keep alive its slim hopes of advancing to the PBA D-League Aspirants Cup playoffs.
Jeff Viernes contributed 19 points as Jason Ibay added 16 for the Alibaba, who won for only the second time in six games.
“The goal right now is to just continue to improve. If by chance, we make it to the playoffs, well and good,” Racal Motors coach Caloy Garcia said.
Viernes waxed hot in the third quarter, scoring 13 including a triple that put the Alibaba ahead, 58-48.
The Giants suffered their second loss in six games.
