RACAL looks to stay atop the standings when it tackles Wangs in the PBA D-League Aspirants' Cup on Thursday.

Currently on top with a perfect 3-0 win-loss card, the Tile Masters will again lean on defense against the Couriers in the 11 a.m. match at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.

"Malaking bagay depensa para sa amin kaya dapat aggressive lang kami," said Racal coach Jerry Codinera.

Wangs, on the other hand, will have its hands full as it seeks to improve a 1-2 record.

Meanwhile, Cafe France coach Egay Macaraya also hopes his team turns up the defense as it squares off with Jose Rizal University.

The veteran coach noted Heavy Bombers snipers Teytey Teodoro and Paolo Pontejos as targets they hope to limit in their tussle slated at 1 p.m.

"Kung mapush namin yung depensa at malimit namin sila sa target namin na points, malaki ang chance namin," said Macaraya of the Heavy Bombers, who dropped to 2-1 after a 69-61 loss at the hands of AMA Online Education.

"But we really have to defend Tey Teodoro and Paolo Pontejos because we know that they will be their focus on offense," he added.

At 2-1, the Bakers hope to gain a share of the second spot with Tanduay.
