PERPETUAL carved out its first win at the expense of Mila's Lechon, 65-48, in the PBA D-League Aspirants' Cup on Tuesday at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.
Prince Eze was at the forefront of Perpetual's attack with 13 points, 14 rebounds, and four blocks.
Kim Aurin added 12 markers.
The Altas raced off to a 27-17 start and sustained momentum the rest of the way as they improved to a 1-1 record under new coach Frankie Lim.
Aurin gave Perpetual a comfortable 20-point cushion after dropping five straight points with 4:20 remaining, 61-41.
Mila's Lechon simply had no answer to Perpetual's relentless offense and went home without a victory in two games.
Lim said defense was key in securing their first victory in the opening conference after dropping the opener against Che'Lu Bar and Grill-San Sebastian.
"We just tried to be decent on our defense. We're still working on it," Lim said.
"Bago pa lang kami na nagsasama. It will take time before we become a good defensive team. All I ask is for our defense to be decent."
Ken Acibar paced the Mighty Rosters with 14 markers.
